i was reading an article somewhere, i think the new yorker, talking about the reasons why americans took less vacation that people in europe (and most other countries). the article completely IGNORED the fact that americans take less vacation because their employers give them less. my mother is 62 and only gets two weeks of vacation a year. absurd.
