These are the pics that the woman who fostered Mia (Karin) arranged---they were making a scrapbook for ARNO of all the dogs who found homes in Portland. Karin said, "Robyn (the shelter director) cried. Mia was one of her favorites!"
Possible the dorkiest photo of Lazlo EVER---I love it! He looks like a lunatic.

This is the woman who was semi-fostering Mia, taking her for walks while she was at the shelter, etc. In fact, she brought Mia to Portland from ARNO in New Orleans. Karin's getting ready to go back down to volunteer at the shelter (and have fun in New Orleans with her friends). She said ARNO still has many animals at their shelter (3 years after Hurricane Katrina).
Her friend David is a pet photographer and they were taking some "family pictures" of all the dogs that came from ARNO so they could make a scrapbook for the shelter workers. David is also a photographer for the Oregon Humane Society so he was used to working with "difficult" dogs. Mia was good. She got a little stressed by the end of the shoot (an hour or so) and she's still acting up a little when we go out on walks,…

we may be out of here in about 30 days...

The dogs are happy the rain took a break. They hadn't been off leash in a couple days and they were getting cabin fever.
Lazlo and Mia both are in the Humane Society's Spay Day USA contest if you feel like voting. You can vote once for any pet you see so spread the love.

including how the dogs opened the door to the garage and freed themselves while we were out getting ice cream and the Lincoln City cops had them corralled back into the garage about 3 minutes before we returned. No shots fired!
